Magdalene Uzoechi

Magdalene Uzoechi M.A., P.G.D. MBA, started her career in Public Relations but never strayed far from her lifelong passion for entrepreneurship.

She forged close relationships with more than 100 entrepreneurs in the estate management firm where she worked as a Public Relations Officer. She later set up Dalene Creations, a platform created to unveil the relevance of owning a business and also encourage business owners to persevere, nurture and turn their companies into sustainable ventures.

She is a co-founder and the CEO of Handworka, an EdTech project which aims at empowering unemployed and underemployed African youths with Technical & Vocational Skills while promoting entrepreneurship, self-reliance, financial empowerment and the eradication of poverty. Her latest venture, Biz Starta, focuses on equipping aspiring business owners and early startups with the relevant skills and strategies to start the journey on the right foot from the beginning.

Magdalene’s passion for guiding as well as keeping small business owners motivated, brought her to the African Women Entrepreneurship Cooperative, AWEC in 2018 where she currently serves as a Senior Program Advisor.
