Kele Mogotsi

Kele Mogotsi is the Director of External Affairs at the African Women Entrepreneurship Cooperative, a program founded at the Center for Global Enterprise. A Botswana-born, internationally-bred professional, she holds a diverse background, having worked in various industries including financial services, education, and the creative sector.

Prior to joining the AWEC team, Kele spent a decade in the entertainment and media industries in various capacities, where she spearheaded projects to broaden representation, promote inclusivity and dismantle gender and racial bias.

She believes in empowering people from disadvantaged backgrounds through education, by equipping them with opportunities to better themselves. She has supervised an adult literacy program in New York City. On her home turf of Botswana, she founded a non-profit initiative to run skills enhancement, youth empowerment, and motivational workshops for underprivileged youth. She has collaborated with Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre from London, the U.S. Embassy in Botswana, and various non-profit organizations.

She holds a BA Commerce degree from La Trobe University Australia and she has also graduated from The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York City.
